AfroFlava Radio is a weekly Afrobeats-themed countdown radio show that plays the Top 10 African songs in the US and abroad. Originally debuting on the #1 R&B FM station in New York City; 107.5 WBLS every Friday night at 11pm EST where it reigned as #1 in the 25-54 AA demographic for most of 2020. It has now moved to the super popular Scratchvision Radio platform where it garners an average of 20K listeners every Friday at 7pm EST.

AfroFlava Radio began in June 2019 and is the ONLY Afrobeats-themed radio show in a major US market. The show is hosted by NYC legendary celebrity; DJ Jon Quick, and our new co-hosts, international actress and Nigerian afrobeat singer Lisa Yaro and Ghana's own Osei The Dark Secret, formerly of WPGC DC and currently on-air talent at V-103 Atlanta. AfroFlava brings you all the hottest African hit songs and interviews from your favorite African superstars.

Produced by industry veteran Chris “In The Mix” Mercado, AfroFlava is a weekly hybrid mixshow that’s dedicated to the infusion of African music in America. At any given time on the Billboard charts you can find the powerful impact of Afrobeats climbing up the charts while making its way into our homes. This is more than music, but rather a cultural movement!

 

Every Friday night the Afroflava Radio team will be rockin’ hit music from the African diaspora as well as Afrobeats influenced music from American artists. You can count on hearing your favorite African artists like Davido, Wizkid, Tekno, DJ Tunez, Yemi Alade, Timaya, Tiwa Savage and many more in the mix, as well as artists like Drake, Beyonce, French Montana, and more that have embraced the sounds from the motherland.
